Rule Text
Operator safety must be considered in the design and layout of all controls and components. Reference ISO 3411 and/or ISO 26322 to ensure that vehicle designs safeguard the operator from injury due to contact with any components including tires during normal operation and during conditions of instability (wheel hop, front-end rear-ups, etc.). Designs must ensure that no part of the operator can contact exhaust pipe(s) when leaning forward or back. (Sec 2.12)
